Do you need a certificate at all?
Under FSSAI's Organic Food Regulations, exempt from verification of compliance. If you sell your own produce at the santhai, at the farm gate or to households, you can list here today with a grey "direct from farmer" badge — which is the truth, not a penalty. Certification is what you need to sell through shops, brands and export.
Route 1 — PGS-India, the peer route
Form or join a Local Group of at least 5 farmers farmers, register through your Regional Council (single-state Regional Councils from 31 Mar 2026; existing multi-state RCs transition by 30 Apr 2027), keep the field diary, and host peer inspections. First certificate typically in 3–6 months; PGS-Green after one chemical-free season, PGS-Organic after the full conversion period.
Route 2 — NPOP, the third-party route
Choose an accredited body that covers your state, sign the agreement, maintain records in their format and pass the annual inspection. TNOCD is the state agency (17 May 2007); it issues three documents: Scope Certificate · Transaction Certificate · Statement of Compliance.

Help you can claim
PKVY ₹50,000/ha over 3 years for PGS groups. Ask your Regional Council or the district agriculture office; the assistance is routed through the group, not paid to an individual.
Then upload it here
Once you hold a certificate, upload it from your brand console with the number, the issuing body and the validity dates. We check it against the body's register and badge your products with the date we checked. It costs nothing.
Questions people actually ask
How long does NPOP certification take from application?
Bodies quote three to six months for the first certificate once the conversion period is complete; the conversion period itself is the long part.
Is a transaction certificate enough to sell my whole catalogue as organic?
No. A transaction certificate covers one consignment. This site badges it as "one consignment only" and never as a catalogue-wide claim.
Do I need an FSSAI licence too?
Yes, to sell packaged food you need the FSSAI licence and the label must carry the FSSAI organic logo with the licence number alongside the scheme logo.
This route carries no paid inventory of any kind.
